Need Assessments & Project Design

We design and deliver assessments that advise our clients on inroads and opportunities to responsibly invest in human rights and justice sector projects. We help build local ownership and international visibility, and structure new projects around development frameworks including “do no harm,” climate, and gender-sensitivity. We establish baselines, set benchmarks, and design monitoring & evaluation plans. Whenever appropriate, we align new project designs with national strategies.

Project Evaluations

We provide independent and expert analysis of our clients’ rule of law projects and other engagements. We advise on what has worked and what has not and provide guidance on how to incorporate updated baselines and benchmarks, including changing circumstances stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic. We advise clients on how their projects and other interventions align with national rule of law strategies and assess the impact that they have garnered. We evaluate and provide guidance on the likelihood of long-term sustainability and suggest inroads for new engagements.

We work with clients to build organizational strategies that will inform their multi-year goals and objectives, and form the basis of their action plans, advocacy, and fundraising. We also advise our clients on how to incorporate development frameworks into their governance structures and activities. These include:

Fundraising Plans & Partnerships

We work together with our clients to build fundraising strategies for their organizations and special projects. We advise on financial benchmarks, develop advocacy plans, and make the connections to raise our clients’ profiles with international policy makers and funders. We also work with our clients to identify and build partnerships with other organizations, including multinational companies, for joint initiatives.

Special Projects

We work together with our clients on developing communication and outreach plans for special projects and other engagements so that they can present their work to the right audiences for maximum visibility and impact. We also advise on the design, launch, risk assessments, and communication plans for special projects and interventions that may require extra finesse given the country and political context.
